Main transit systems: TTC (Toronto — subway, buses, streetcars with 2-hour transfer window), GO Transit (connects Toronto with Mississauga, Brampton, Hamilton, Oakville, Oshawa — distance-based fares), MiWay (Mississauga), Brampton Transit, York Region Transit, Durham Region Transit.

PRESTO Card: the most convenient way to pay. Benefits include lower fares vs. cash (saves ~$0.40 per TTC ride), easy transfers between systems, and automatic GO Transit fare calculation. Buy at major transit stations or Shoppers Drug Mart.

Discounted PRESTO cards: seniors (65+), youth and children (ages 6–19), and post-secondary students with valid student ID.

Transit apps: Google Maps provides real-time route planning and arrival updates.

Peak hours: 7:30 AM–9:30 AM and 4:30 PM–6:30 PM are busiest. Blue Night buses run overnight on major Toronto routes.
